Kid-Friendly Overnight Oats

Looking for a simple activity to keep your little ones busy this summer? Look no further! Using our overnight oats and some staple ingredients, their breakfast will go from basic to a fun AND healthy creation that will convince even the pickiest eater!

Kid-Friendly Overnight Oats

Ingredients :

  • 1 packet Yumi Overnight Oats (flavour of your choice)
  • 1\3 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
  • 2 tbsp yogurt of your choice (ie. greek, coconut) or 1 tbsp nut butter (ie. peanut, cashew)
  • Fruits of your choice for the animal faces (suggested : banana slices, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries)

Base recipe :


  1. Add the almond milk and chia seeds to your Yumi Overnight Oats.
  2. Let soak for at least 4 hours, or overnight.

Pro tip : Prepare this step the night before for a fun breakfast activity with your little helpers!


OPTION A. Top your oats with the yogurt of your choice and spread it out evenly as the base for your animal face.

**Use this base to make your rabbit, fish, or owl.

OPTION B. Top your oats with your favorite nut butter and spread it out evenly as the base for your bear face (ie. peanut, cashew)

Time for toppings!


Blue(bear)ry Overnight Oats

Ingredients :

  • 3 banana slices
  • 3 blueberries

Recipe :

  1. Take three banana slices and use them for the ears.
  2. Place the last slice in the middle of your nut butter and balance a small blueberry on top for the muzzle.
  3. Add two bigger blueberries above the muzzle for the eyes.
  4. Voila! You have a bear-y nutritious breakfast!


Blub Blub Bowl

Ingredients :

  • 2 banana slices
  • 1 blueberry
  • 2-3 strawberries
  • 1 raspberry

Recipe :

  1. Slice and layer strawberries on one half of your yogurt topping to create the scales.
  2. Cut two banana slices and leave one whole for the eye.
  3. Divide the other banana medallion into two for the tail fins.
  4. Add a single blueberry to help your new friend see, and half a raspberry for those perfect fishy lips.


Bunny Breakfast

Ingredients :

  • 1\2 banana
  • 1 strawberry
  • 1 raspberry
  • 2 blueberries

Recipe :

  1. Slice banana lengthwise and trim for the bunny's ears.
  2. Shape and use the excess for the teeth.
  3. Cut strawberries in triangles for the ear details and into strips for the whiskers.
  4. Add two blueberry eyes and a raspberry nose for the cutest bunny breakfast bowl!


Hoot B(owl)

Ingredients :

  • 2 banana slices
  • 2 blueberries
  • 2 strawberries

Recipe :

  1. Two banana slices and two blueberries make the perfect googly owl eyes.
  2. Add some strawberry slices for the wings, and form a small strawberry triangle for the beak.
  3. Voila! A delicious and creamy b(owl) of overnight oats!
