Smoothies are undoubtedly the ultimate summer snack. So simple to make and refreshing, they are also very versatile: the combinations of ingredients to add are almost endless. At Yumi, we love to add our personal touch to these with our favorite ingredient: oats. You're reading it correctly! While it may seem counterintuitive, adding oats to your smoothie is a great way to enjoy its benefits (bonus: if you use Yumi Overnight Oats, you get extra delicious taste!).
Oat smoothies, 3 ways
1. Carrot Cake Smoothie

Ingredients

1/2 sachet of Yumi Apple Cinnamon Overnight Oats
-
1 small carrot, grated (about 1/2 cup)
-
1 frozen banana
-
1 tsp maple syrup
-
3-4 ice cubes
-
1/2 cup almond milk
-
2-3 walnuts (optional)
Recipe
-
In a blender, add the oatmeal, grated carrot, frozen banana, maple syrup, ice cream, and almond milk.

Mix until well combined.

Garnish with walnuts
2. Blueberry Muffin Smoothie

Ingredients

1/2 sachet of Yumi blueberry-vanilla overnights oats
-
1 frozen banana
-
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
-
3-4 ice cubes
-
1 tsp maple syrup
-
1/2 cup almond milk
-
1-2 tsp coconut yogurt for garnish (optional)
Recipe

In a blender, combine the Yumi overnight oats, frozen banana, frozen blueberries, ice cubes, maple syrup and almond milk.

Mix until well combined.

Spread the coconut yogurt on the sides of your Yumi jar (optional)

Pour the smoothie into your Yumi jar and enjoy!
3. Mocha Smoothie

Ingredients

1/2 sachet of Yumi Dark Choco Overnight Oats

1 frozen banana

1/3 cup of coffee

1/3 cup almond milk
-
1 tsp maple syrup
-
3-4 ice cubes
-
cacao nibs for garnish (optional)
Recipe
-
In a blender, combine the oatmeal, frozen banana, ice cubes, coffee, almond milk, and maple syrup.

Mix until well combined.

Top with cacao nibs
