Unfortunately, while I am a fan of overnight oats in general, I just don't like the three flavours I was sent by Yumi: Matcha Green Tea, Dark Chocolate and Cinnamon Apple. They were all extremely bitter, to the point that even adding a bit of sugar did nothing to help them. As well, there is so much cinnamon in the Apple Cinnamon flavour that it upsets my stomach. I tried adding a bunch of raisins and other toppings to balance it out, but it was still way too much. It felt like there was a good teaspoon or so, and that's almost the amount you put in a full-sized cake! The Matcha just tasted bitter with little tea flavour. The Dark Chocolate was bitter with chocolate chippets in it. The texture was so-so. The oats softened somewhat, when soaked between 8-12 hours (I tried different times). I appreciate the sample and the stars are purely for the jars. But I won't buy more oats here. Thank you.

The oats weren’t bad, but they didn’t really stand out either. They had a kind of weird bitter taste so they would probably be better with additional toppings added in. They were really easy to use and were great to grab and go in the morning. The jar is also super cute!
The sample pack helped me decide on which flavor I preferred and the container is beautiful and easy to use. Hold the perfect amount of oatmeal for breakfast.
Soaking your oats overnight preserves the B-vitamins, antioxidants and prebiotics naturally found in oats that get destroyed by heat. It also increase the amount of resistant starches and lower the overall Glycemic Index. In plain speak - more vitamins & more fibre 😉
